The completed operation will see image files copied to an image store together with associated fields of information placed into the database. Enabling rapid distribution and fulfilment of these jobs in the Imaging Database Workflow.
What you can do..
Simple Import Process
Specifically designed for users (of any skill) who want a fast and easy way of creating jobs using images from a variety of sources, such as CD/DVD, camera memory card, USB flash drive or from a network location. A directory structure can be pre-defined (e.g. year/month/job) for where the jobs’ images are to be stored.
Custom Import Wizard for Image Data
As part of the step-by-step process of importing images to a new job a user can select various data from the images embedded EXIF and IPTC information, or the user may choose to enter data manually, with the choice of automatically applying the data selections to all the images in the job. This non-destructive process preserves the original image file’s integrity, instead associating the image with data stored in a database.
Automated File Renaming during Import
Option to rename image files with various preset options such as job name, customisable sequential numbers or create your own. The renaming process occurs as the images and data are imported into your preferred directory structure.
