Halse Interface Technology (HiT)

is a new file interface technology that has been developed to provide access to external systems from a LS Pro Workflow. The seamless transfer of data provided by HiT enables rapid exporting of product and order information from the workflow, and simple importing of order information back into the workflow from external systems, automatically creating Jobs for printing. This platform provides a high level of automation keeping productivity high and mistakes low.

The underlying interface technology used by HiT is h-xml and is based on the industry standard for data transfer between systems. We at Halse have been developing and refining this system over several years to provide an interface offering a wide range of options, both now and into the future. HiT is also designed to maintain the integrity of the LS Pro database, the heart of the workflow. HiT also benefits from the wide range of controls and functions built into the workflow and available via LS Edit.

Possibilities include

Export images to external systems

..within the LS Pro workflow you can select a variety of parameters (such as size, type, watermarks, upload location) and determine which of any 12 data fields are also uploaded.

Integrates with 3rd Party applications

..the h-xml file structure allows developers to offer their customers a number of possibilities such as, cropping, adding attributes, customising layouts, adding text & more!

Images given a Unique ID

..images that are uploaded are assigned a unique ID. This unique ID provides the identity and location of the original image within the LS Pro workflow.

Unique Usernames and Passwords

..can be assigned to either single or multiple images. These logins can be automatically printed on a product layout to enable a customer to re-order online.

Remote Ordering

..using a remote application to display and review image files from a camera and then select the products and quantities. The complete order is downloaded to the lab which contains the original camera files together with the order text-file in h-xml.

Automatic Ordering

..when the order is received it is imported into the LS Pro workflow, and the images are copied into an image-store, along with any associated data being automatically entered into the database, and a job being automatically created on the system for review and printing.
